Marble ChemBio Consulting B.V.

The Dutch term B.V. is a legal form (legal personality) that can be described as a private company with limited liability. It is similar to the German GmbH. It is one of the most common forms of privately owned business in The Netherlands and many other countries.


The logo consists of a molecular model of the chemical warfare agent sulfur mustard and a model of a virus of the Picornaviridae family, which includes Poliovirus and Foot-and-mouth disease virus.

Why “Marble”?

Basically, the word “Marble” in the company’s name is just a name. However, marble is one of the world’s oldest and most flexible building materials. Marble has been used as construction material for many famous buildings, e.g. Taj Mahal (India) and Marble Arch (London). It has also been used extensively for works of art, e.g. the Venus of Milo. Marble is extremely versatile, workable, affordable, …., well, like the company’s values. The English word marble also refers to the children’s toy. Coincidentally, the first three letters in Marble happen to be the same as in it’s founder’s first name…
